I do what I can, by music, to help listeners find a deep inner peace. With a deep inner peace, I believe we can see more clearly how we can bring clean water to all. We are an important part of nature and need to remember, to each other as well

- Kitaro

It was such an honor to be afforded the opportunity to undertake the nature remix of, “Kitaro’s Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai volume 3”. I have been a big fan of Kitaro's work for a long time. His score for the film "Heaven and Earth" is very powerful and organic. The music from his albums have such a feeling of being interwoven with the earth and the human spirit. His melodies sound as if they come through him from some ethereal and divine place.

I tried to listen to each song from “Sacred Journey” as if it was telling me a story. Kitaro's masterful, and gradual transitions made this feel like a natural endeavor. I closed my eyes and thought about what scenes in nature each song was conjuring up inside me. From rain forest to desert plains to beach side settings, Kitaro's music brought forth images and emotions as it has for so many people around the globe.

My challenge was to preserve the musical integrity of Kitaro's work, while enhancing the stories of nature that I had interpreted from each song. Hopefully the combinations of the sounds of the animals, weather, and the elements with Kitaro's music create a new way for us to appreciate the great and bountiful gifts of our great mother nature.
